Description
This final course on Sinatra’s musical career will focus on recordings from the 1970’s to 1990’s after a retirement of almost two years in the early 70’s. When Sintra returned, he carefully alternated new material (Sondheim, Jim Croce, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison) with reworkings of old chestnuts in both his recordings and personal appearances. A review and overview of his career will be included. Some film segments will be seen. Jim Kraus is a retired CSD English teacher with a deep affection for the songs and performers of the great American songbook.
