Description

Is American democracy truly at risk? Is hyper partisanship now an existential threat to the nation? These questions will be the basis for this course which will be presented in three one hour sessions. First will be a discussion of how the nation’s founders formulated the political structure that was to be to be implemented. Then will be a review of how this structure has evolved during the next 200 years coping with the various crises that have occurred. Finally, will be a discussion of how the current of our political culture has developed in recent years and the possible implications for the future. An active participation from the class will be encouraged in the final session.
