Description
Located in Sodus along the Lake Ontario shore. Once home to a summer camp, this park features mature woodland with a diverse ecosystem featuring a variety of ferns and other woodland plants. Once home to a Girl Scout summer camp, remnants of the camp can still be found. We will explore the trails and the shore line for approximately a 3 mi walk. Bring a snack and we will pause halfway to enjoy the lakeside view. Allow two hours for this walk. Expect grassy, flat trails. Directions: Park at Beechwood State Park West Entrance. 7423 Lake Rd Sodus is a private residence. The park entrance is just east of this house on the north side of Lake Rd. This entrance is directly across from Maxwell Rd. Walk will only be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or thunder.
