Description
This course will break the musical career of Frank Sinatra into four sessions. The focus will be on Sinatra's collaborations with band leaders (Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie) and arrangers (Axel Stordahl, Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Gordon Jenkins). Close attention will be paid to the changes in pop music which Sinatra both adapted to and influenced between 1939 until the early 1990s.
