Museums that reconstruct the past with historic or reconstructed buildings and landscapeswith costumed interpreters, present a special case in the presentation of historical ideas and information. This two-session class will look at how museums such as the Genesee Country Village, Williamsburg, Old Sturbridge Village, Plimouth Plantation, Greenfield Village and others use material culture to present particular views of American history.
