Description

As we move closer to our nation’s 250th birthday, we will take a look at a number of the civil rights challenges our country’s Presidents faced midway through the twentieth century. The administrations of Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon will be highlighted with these questions in mind: How did these Presidents confront these issues? How did their actions impact the future? Were their actions positive or negative in addressing the issues and why?
