Description
Come learn the language of the ancient Romans as you experience daily life in 80 AD through the eyes and ears of an actual historic Roman senator, Gaius Cornelius Calvus, and his family. The course will include, but is not limited to, Latin’s influence on English, Greco-Roman mythology, and Roman archeology and topography. The course will be offered one day weekly for the trimester via Zoom. Class is taught via Zoom. You must have a computer/phone/tablet with video and audio capability and a printer for class materials. Required text will be discussed during the first class.
