Description

Dee Dee Bridgewater is a contemporary singer whose career began in her teens at Monday evening sessions in the Village Vanguard. Her career has soared globally since the 1980’s,  especially in France, Europe, and Japan. She is a worthy successor to Ella and Sarah. This class will examine another contemporary vocalist, and then take a peek back at several lesser known Ebony and Ivory Chanteuses. Jim Kraus, a retired English teacher, has a deep interest in singers of the Great
American Songbook.
