From a very young age, we’re told not to lie, but the minute we get into business, we forget everything our parents taught us. Even though we understand that the lies have consequences. Lies have toppled empires, religions, and entire patterns of thinking. We explore the long history of misinformation and enjoy the fact that, as deep as it got… we all survived.     A Short History of Lying to the Public. You’d be surprised how far back in history humans have lied to each other and called it news. Even in your average democracy. From a very young age, we’re told not to lie, but the minute we get into business, we forget everything our parents taught us. Even though we understand that the lies have consequences.     Type 2 diabetes is becoming more and more common, with 1 in 2 adults in this country having either pre-diabetes or diabetes.  Studies show that about 90% of type 2 diabetes is preventable, by addressing straightforward lifestyle pillars.  There is also evidence that diabetes can be put into remission.  Dr. Susan Friedman, a geriatrician and lifestyle...

    Want to learn how to make a dance?  Come join Moving Memories, a collaborative choreography class designed for older adults and students from the University of Rochester.  Weekly classes held with UR students to learn about the art of choreography, culminating with a performance with lights, costumes, and music!  Each class we focus on different dance-making skills.  Classes are free and open to all levels of ability.  You can be in your dance or choose other dancers to perform your choreography.  The last three classes will be held at the UofR (details to come). Culminates in a performance the weekend of December 5th (date to be determined) at the University of Rochester.
