    In this class, we will explore wines from Lebanon and Israel, along with several other regions.  While not well known, the quality of the wines from this region is greatly improving as the worldwide availability increases.  Approximately 5 wines from the region will be presented, along with a discussion of their production methods and qualities. These wines are now readily available and worth paying attention to, especially given the value!  RSVP by 9/8 at noon.

    Although Susan B. Anthony, as one of America’s most famous women, has been honored by appearing on postage stamps and coinage, the story of how she got there - and the times that attempts to commemorate her in that manner failed - hasn’t been told. In “Stamping on Rochester and Susan B”, and “What’s (Not) in Your Wallet”, Michael J. Nighan tells the story of the successes and failures in honoring Miss Anthony. For many years Michael Nighan has written and lectured about the local history of the Genesee region.  He currently serves as a trustee of the Honeoye-Richmond Historical Society.

    We welcome all Oasis participants who enjoy singing, and those who think they might, to give us a try. There are no auditions and newcomers are always welcome. The chorus learns to sing in harmony to favorites and popular Broadway tunes to new contemporary arrangements. The Chorus usually performs one outreach concert for residents at a nearby nursing home...

    We welcome all Oasis participants who enjoy singing, and those who think they might, to give us a try. There are no auditions and newcomers are always welcome. The chorus learns to sing in harmony to favorites and popular Broadway tunes to new contemporary arrangements. The Chorus usually performs one outreach concert for residents at a nearby nursing home or senior facility (participation optional).  Concert participants must wear white tops with matching red chorus tie or scarf.  Music truly does lift the spirit and feed the soul.
