Description

In this class we’ll look at one of the most prolific and beloved lyricists of The Great American Songbook. E.Y. “Yip” Harburg wrote the words to such enduring classics as “April in Paris,” “It’s Only A Paper Moon,” and, of course, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” A wry wit, Harburg was also known for his commitment to social justice as well as racial and gender equality, all of which were revealed in his prolific works. Join us as we celebrate the “voice” of a generation of music. Register for this class if you will ONLY be attending via Zoom.  You must have a computer/tablet/phone with video and audio capability.
