The Peace Corps was created by President John F. Kennedy in 1961. The country was thrilled when we learned that Jimmy Carter’s mother, “Miss Lillian,” had joined the program at age sixty-eight and would soon be off to a two-year assignment in India. How has the Peace Corps changed over the years? Let’s talk about it.  Elaine will be joined by a student who participated in the Peace Corps through the Brockport program and served in Zaire.
