Description
Working back and forth between avant-garde landscape and more traditional figure painting, especially portraits and nudes, Renoir was at once a central figure in Impressionism and a representative of a long tradition. This four-session class looks at his development and his relationship with other artists, especially Monet and Cézanne, his distinctive images of modern life and apparently timeless nudes, and his influence.
