Description

She-Wolf of France, Queen of England.  Long before Queen Elizabeth I of England, there were far more potent leaders who commanded the military might of England. Enter Margaret of Anjou, the wife of the totally ineffectual King Henry VI. In an era of people like Joan of Arc, Margaret had no trouble wearing the pants in her family when Henry wasn’t up to it. And growing up in France during the reign of the Mad King, Margaret knew all about stepping in when your husband couldn’t. There is even some truth to the story that it was Margaret who was responsible for England’s first civil war, the War of the Roses.
