We’ll examine his upbringing, his work in the theater and his false start in the movies before his breakthrough role in Petrified Forest (1936). From there, we’ll cover his prolific studio work at Warner Bros before the roles that finally catapulted him to stardom, The Maltese Falcon (1942) and Casablanca (1943).
