Description
Crocheting is back and so is the granny square. It’s all over the Internet and in numerous craft magazines and books. In this class we shall show you how to crochet two popular granny squares: the Sunburst with clusters and the Sunflower with the puff stitch. We also shall explain an easy method to make the magic circle. Participants must know the basic abbreviations and be able to read a pattern. You should know how to single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), and half double crochet (hdc). In class we shall teach you a few additional stitches. The class has two instructors to accommodate right-handed and left-handed students. Please bring one size I and one H crochet hook and several coordinating colors of # 4 worsted weight yarn. Some of you may wish to choose 3-4 sunflower colors, but that is not necessary. However, do choose 3-4 colors that look nice together. You should also bring scissors and a stainless yarn needle with a blunt end and large eye.
