Do you love color and visual texture? Are you someone who saves cards, canceled postage stamps, fabric scraps, and wrapping paper? Gather your lovely items and bring them to this workshop! We will create in the wonderful world of collage. Collage derives its name from the French verb coller, to glue. The work of art is made by gluing things to the surface. Pasting, ripping, and cutting fragments of paper or any other materials of choice can be quite intoxicating for the artist. We will discuss materials, how to best utilize them, composition, and design. We will alter papers, and search for “found paper” in magazines, books, and other opportunities. Learn your options in composition and design, excite your sense of creativity, and explore the wonder of collage. All materials are included.
