Description

Tales of Subterfuge from the Atomic Age.  In Washington’s day, as well as the Civil War, the most a spy had to worry about was how many men the enemy had and where they were going. But by the Second World War, belligerents needed to spy on their opponent’s scientific abilities as well. This meant they needed someone who could understand what they were looking at. This resulted in some fairly insane intelligence efforts. Everything from the famous MKULTRA to bat bombs to an attempt by a famous scientist to nuke the moon—just to show we could do it.
