The Tax War of Three Kingdoms. Taxes can set people to fighting in almost any age, but combine that with religion and you got a bloody war that can last for years. The war ended up a series of civil wars and political machinations between Parliament and King Charles, mainly over the manner of England’s taxes and issues of religious freedom.
