Trapped in Another World. Imagine your family wants you to take a trip to visit sick relatives in Japan. Now imagine that it is 1941. And when the war breaks out, you’re on the wrong side of the border. That’s what happened to a woman who was born in Los Angeles, California. But she makes it to the end of the war, nearly starving to death, while sharing what little she had with American POWs to keep them alive.
