    This class will complement David Woodruff’s class Croatia: The Black Lamb and the Grey Falcon by offering several pieces of Croatian literature translated into English which reflect historical periods discussed in David’s class.     This class will complement David Woodruff’s class Croatia: The Black Lamb and the Grey Falcon by offering several pieces of Croatian literature translated into English which reflect historical periods discussed in David’s class. The events reflected in literature will include: the Crusades: “Judith;”  the Ottoman Empire: “Osman;” Hungarian Occupation: “On Native Ground;”  Croatia’s Shakespeare: “Uncle Maroje;  World Wars I& II: TBA; The War for Independence; “Shrapnel.” This literature gives us insights into the culture and experiences of the people represented by history.  All literature will be made available online by the presenter.
